At On The Rail Farms, we are committed to providing the highest level of care possible for your horse; and providing a safe, comfortable, and satisfying experience for you as a boarder. We pride ourselves in taking care of your horses as well as we would take care of our own. Management lives on site, allowing us to better oversee your horse’s needs.
Stalled horses have daily turnout, weather permitting. Pastures are located directly across from barn for visual daily monitoring and easy horse retrieval. We have grass pastures from Spring to Fall. We fertilize, seed, and treat our pastures for weeds once a year. During the winter months, we offer free-choice high quality hay in feeders. Some of our hay is grown right here on the farm, and all else is sourced from quality suppliers. All pastures have troughed water that is heated during winter months. Salt and mineral blocks are located in every pasture.
Your board includes feeding twice daily, both grain and hay. Stalls are bedded with wood pellets for maximum absorbency; and cleaned daily, except Sundays. fresh water is always provided. We also sheet or blanket your horses at no additional charge.
Boarders have access to a lighted 72’ X 104’ indoor riding arena with sand footing and dust control for a very pleasant riding experience no matter the weather. In good weather, jump fields, property perimeter and warm up track provide riding alternatives. Our round pen is perfect for turn out and warm up. To make tacking up easy, and to keep your belongings safe, every boarder is provided a personal, secure tack storage locker conveniently located near their stall. And our indoor wash rack makes bathing a breeze.
